Connie Jongewaard, a veteran nurse-practitioner, has 10 years of experience in dermatology and non-invasive procedures.

Originally from Colo, Iowa, Connie Jongewaard received her bachelors of science degree from the University of Tennessee, studying nursing.  She graduated with honors and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing.  She earned her Masters of Science in nursing from the University of Tennessee with an emphasis on community health and family nursing and was granted Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Mrs. Jongewaard has held teaching positions at the University of Tennessee and in the University of Hawaii system, as well as caring for families in primary care and in dermatology clinics.  For the past ten years Mrs. Jongewaard has received extensive training and experience in the care of the skin and aesthetic procedures and has focused her practice on skin rejuvenation procedures.

In addition to Sigma Theta Tau, Mrs. Jongewaard is a member of the Florida Nurses Association, the Dermatological Nurses Association, and the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists.   She and her husband reside in Orange Park.

“Injectables like Botox and Restylane produce quick, relatively painless results,” says Jongewaard.  “Working with these products is very gratifying. A patient comes in with concerns about a frown line or a wrinkle, and I have the tools to temporarily correct the problem.”

In addition, Jongewaard performs IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy for skin spots and discolorations, and has begun offering laser hair reduction treatments at PVPS Southside location.  She will also see patients for laser and injectable treatments at the main Ponte Vedra office location.

“I like to work in a place where there’s a lot going on and that’s certainly true here,” she says.  “I’m excited to be a part of this well-known, well-respected group.  The facilities are state-of-the-art and the doctors keep up with all the latest, best practices and developments.  Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery has a great reputation and I feel proud to be able to be a part of the team.”
