Dr. Scioscia has extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Dr. Scioscia came to Northeast Florida after extensive training in general surgery, plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery. His goal has always been to provide his patients with the highest-quality care, in a respectful and discreet manner.

Dr. Scioscia began his career at Vanderbilt University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, studying molecular biology and chemistry. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed an internship and a five-year residency in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University. Following that, he completed a two-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Scioscia elected to extend his training to sub-specialize in cosmetic surgery by completing a one year fellowship in aesthetic surgery at New York University’s prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. There he was trained by many of the world’s most-prominent plastic surgeons.

Dr. Scioscia has received several awards and has published numerous scientific articles. He is past President of the Greater Jacksonville Society of Plastic Surgeons and currently sits as Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.  He gives seminars and has been interviewed on television and radio about many plastic surgery topics.

He is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Greater Jacksonville Society of Plastic Surgeons.
