Dr. Snyder has extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Originally from Jacksonville, Dr. Snyder attended Vanderbilt University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology. After receiving his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School in 1989, he completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University in 1995. The following year he served as fellow at the Australian Craniofacial Unit. Dr. Snyder returned to Stanford University to join the Clinical Faculty in 1996. Working primarily at Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center, he developed programs in Craniofacial and Cosmetic Surgery. In 2000, Dr. Snyder moved his practice away from the San Francisco Peninsula to join Napa Valley Plastic Surgery Associates. Despite a successful practice and productive vineyard, Dr. Snyder decided to return home to Jacksonville in order to live near his extended family.

Dr. Snyder’s primary clinical interests include cosmetic surgery, laser skin rejuvenation and craniofacial surgery. He has published numerous papers addressing new techniques in plastic surgery and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Dr. Snyder serves as a consultant with Nemours Children’s Clinic.  He is also involved with Interplast, a non-profit organization providing free reconstruction surgery to children. He has led trips to Laos and participated in missions to Vietnam and Peru.

He resides in Ponte Vedra Beach with his wife, Susan, and three children.
