"I came to Dr. Hickman to replace implants and remove scar tissue caused by radiation from my DCIS capsular contracture. Although I have yet to see the final result, I can say that my postop recovery has been going very well for the past three days. I was super nervous for the procedure, but this is something I had been considering since I was in middle school. Dr. Hancock & her team made the process super easy. From the insurance, to pre-op, meds, post op, day of surgery, and even having to get more sutures after for wound closure was all a great process. I was also nervous about the fact that I was african american coming to an office where I didnt see a lot of people who looked like me there. But, the office was super welcoming & professional. The decision to have the surgery was not for cosmetic reasons, and they understood that. I felt like every single person genuinely cared for my emotional state of health, my mental state of health and my physical well-being. 2. The results so far have been fantastic. The healing is going very smoothly and quickly. Some people go into the surgery and they offer what they call wish photos, which is what they desire to look like when the surgery is complete. "Huge Shout out to Dr.Ellen Hancock, her nurse Lindsay and all of the staff at PVPS. I has a breast reduction on 8/5/24 and I wish I did this 10 years ago. Dr.Hancock is incredibly nice and intelligent. She answered all my questions and made me feel so much better about my anxiety and worries. Ive healed so well, and at 5 weeks my scars look amazing. My breast and nipples are symmetrical and overall I am beyond happy. I emailed nurse Lindsay a few times from home and she would always answer within 30 minutes, even late at night. I just had a small breast reduction and lift with Dr. Sternberg and I couldn’t be happier about this decision. The entire process was smooth. Anesthesiologist was awesome. Dr. Sternberg was very easy to talk to and he really listened to anything I had to say. The nurses explained everything in detail and answered any questions that I had. At the most I would say I was at 1 or 2 out of 10 discomfort, but nothing OTC pain meds couldn’t resolve. Again, I am so grateful for the whole team at PVPS. I actually decided to add this procedure to my original decision to have a labiaplasty. One side of my inner labia has always been slightly larger than the other. This constantly bothers me and I have finally decided to do something about it. I also have a general dislike of my stomach. So I decided while I’m under for the labia plasty I might as well go ahead and have my problem areas taken care of as well. I will update with before pictures soon.Updated on 26 Apr 2018:My surgery was on Monday April 23. So I am not sure if I am 3 or 4 days post op. Have had a few ups and downs. But overall I think it is going well. My friend came over and stayed with me the first night. So I had my husband here and my friend here 24/7 for about two days, Helping me with anything I needed. Lots of swelling, and bruising. But not the worst thing I have been through. I had a weird sensation in my leg and my Dr thought it may be a dvt forming, so I did go to the emergency room, and everything was fine. They believed the sensation in my leg was from the garment I have to wear. I am super swollen, but even with the swelling I can see a difference already. I cannot wait to see the final results. Attached are pics from the day before and then today. Updated on 1 May 2018:Went today for my 1 week post op appointment. Everything is going perfectly and Dr Sternberg said everything looks great. Still have some bruising and swelling as anticipated, but I am feeling better every day. My body shape is looking so perfect. My labiaplasty has come out amazing. "Finally Got a Breast Augmentation at Age 33 - So I finally got a breast augmentation!!! I'm only 4 days post-op but so far I'm very happy with the results. I was a 36A before, I'm very very active, and very fit. So my concerns was how would these boobs interfere with my fitness life? And, will my new boobs close the gap I have between my boobs? (Pics below). During my consult I told the PS that I wanted to go as big as he thought was suitable for MY body frame. It's hard looking at pictures online and comparing because everyone has different measurements and outcomes are always different. So when I did look at pictures I googled girls my height ( 5'9), my body weight (140-145) and my body fat (18%). My PS was also able to show me before and after 3d images using an imaging software, Crisalix.My final decision was between 325-350cc which I ended up getting 325cc. I'm not sure what my final bra size will be because I'm still swollen and they have months to drop but I'll probably be a small C. I also decided to go with the gummy bear gel high profile implants (Keller Funnel brand) They feel very natural, won't ripple, and are 'supposed' to be lifelong. Recovery...Like I said, I'm only 4 days pre op but lemme say, the recovery is a lot more uncomfortable than I anticipated. I'm an athlete so I can handle pain and I'm also stubborn BUT, having objects placed in your chest is very uncomfortable. Rest!!! Relax!!! Take advantage of catching up on your favorite TV shows and use ice bags. One side WILL feel very different than the other. My right side is more tender and swollen. I'm also noticing more crepitus air) on the right which just feels funny.I'll post pre op pictures in a few days. Please feel free to ask any me any questions. The entire experience was fun and exciting. Just listen to yourself. Many people will try to tell you to 'go smaller', 'go bigger', 'dont get them'. I love how soft they are!!!I've been wearing sports bra's since 1 week of sx. I'm still able to fit in mediums but still had to purchase new ones so I had more support. I'm able to drive, put my arms over my head and do light lifting. I tried doing a light job but the motion of my arms going back n forth didn't feel good so I'm going to hold off another week."

"Finally Got a Breast Augmentation at Age 33 - Very professional and easy to talk to. He listened to my goals and answered all of my questions. I'm very pleased with him, his bedside manners, and my final result. - - So I finally got a breast augmentation!!! I'm only 4 days post-op but so far I'm very happy with the results. I was a 36A before, I'm very very active, and very fit. So my concerns was how would these boobs interfere with my fitness life? And, will my new boobs close the gap I have between my boobs? (Pics below). During my consult I told the PS that I wanted to go as big as he thought was suitable for MY body frame. It's hard looking at pictures online and comparing because everyone has different measurements and outcomes are always different. So when I did look at pictures I googled girls my height ( 5'9), my body weight (140-145) and my body fat (18%). My PS was also able to show me before and after 3d images using an imaging software, Crisalix.My final decision was between 325-350cc which I ended up getting 325cc. I'm not sure what my final bra size will be because I'm still swollen and they have months to drop but I'll probably be a small C. I also decided to go with the gummy bear gel high profile implants (Keller Funnel brand) They feel very natural, won't ripple, and are 'supposed' to be lifelong. Recovery...Like I said, I'm only 4 days pre op but lemme say, the recovery is a lot more uncomfortable than I anticipated. I'm an athlete so I can handle pain and I'm also stubborn BUT, having objects placed in your chest is very uncomfortable. Rest!!! Relax!!! Take advantage of catching up on your favorite TV shows and use ice bags. One side WILL feel very different than the other. My right side is more tender and swollen. I'm also noticing more crepitus air) on the right which just feels funny.I'll post pre op pictures in a few days. Please feel free to ask any me any questions. The entire experience was fun and exciting. Just listen to yourself. Many people will try to tell you to 'go smaller', 'go bigger', 'dont get them'. You'll most likely hear more negative feedback than positive. Don't let that discourage you. :D"

"We will be forever grateful to Dr. Snyder and his staff . . . - In January, 2009, I was diagnosed with breast cancer; after making the decision to have a bilateral mastectomy, I needed to find a plastic surgeon for the breast reconstruction phase of this journey. I was given three recommendations to plastic surgeons; after doing some research, I crossed my fingers and chose Dr. Brett Snyder of Ponte Vedra, FL. From the first appointment (where we had SO many questions)to present day (I'm almost done!), Dr. Snyder and his staff have been extremely patient and kind, generous with their time, understanding and supportive. The first couple of weeks after the mastectomy/tissue expander implant surgery were "rough" - not knowing whether the physical aches/pains I was experiencing were "normal" coupled with a desire to NOT depend upon the pain meds sent my already over-extended emotions out of control. I contacted Dr. Snyder's answering service over a weekend; he called back right away and assured me that what I was feeling was normal and that I really WAS okay. Another time, I panicked and convinced myself I was retaining fluid around the tissue expanders; Dr. Snyder's staff went out of their way to get me into the office immediately to be checked. Of course, there was nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with me and although I was really embarassed for making such a big deal out of nothing, Dr. Snyder assured me that he'd "rather be safe than sorry" and everyone was very understanding. In my experience, the tissue expansion was the most physically difficult part of my breast cancer experience. However, I didn't go through it alone - Dr. Snyder and his staff were with me every week, empathetic to the discomfort I was experiencing while continually encouraging me toward the end-goal that would help me to STOP feeling like a cancer patient, raise my self-image and begin to see myself as a whole woman again. We were told that my "support team" would be vital to my recovery - I was truly one of the "lucky ones" when Dr. Snyder and staff became part of that support team."
