Especially about things I’m self conscious about. I went into the consult with 3 surgeries in mind. He was honest about what he thought I needed and surgeries I did not need. . He was candid, explained both procedures, recovery time, what results would be. Lisa (his nurse) who I met for pre op and was with me the morning of my procedure was wonderful. Surgery day went smooth well! Everyone on the operating team was kind and answered any questions I had. Ultimately I went with abdominal/hip liposuction over a tummy tuck. I went to Dr Sternberg after reading he specializes in fixing other surgeries that woman aren’t happy with. The office staff is beyond friendly. "Enbloc Implant Removal - I loved the way my implants looked, but I began to have several severe health problems after hitting my breast jumping from a waterfall. After going to the er, and multiple doctors without any reason for my declining health I emailed Dr Sternberg to get his opinion. I trust him completely, which is really saying a lot as I am usually very cautious of physicians. He contacted me back and had me come in for a check up to see what was going on. He decided that although not certain, my symptoms could possibly be related to the breast implants. So for health reasons, we decided to have them removed instead of replaced. Dr Sternberg did an enbloc implant removal and capsulectomy. He is by far the best surgeon practicing. Out of the multiple doctors I went to searching for help and to regain my health he was the only one who truly cared about me. I have seen a cardiologist, my primary care physician, two functional medicine doctors, my gynecologist, and the emergency room physicians, along with thousands of dollars worth of blood work and other testing. To be honest, I thought I would never feel normal again. My joint pain is 100% gone, and heart issues have drastically decreased, along with many other vanishing symptoms. I have my life back. High Profile, Under, Mother of 1 - Brand new to RealSelf but it has been tremendously helpful thus far so I figured I'd repay this community and add my own story in case anyone wants to follow along.My surgery is booked for Monday, July 6th. I have my COVID-19 test tomorrow, I'll get those results Saturday and then hopefully I am good to go! Stats: 32 years old, 5'8, typically fluctuate between 135-140lbs. I have one child and I breastfed him. I have always been extremely small, sitting at a 32A, and it's been a source of insecurity for like 15 years. I would love to feel good naked, and not have such a struggle finding clothes and lingerie that fits nicely. "First-time cosmetic surgery patient; first-time surgery/anesthesia patient Period! My Dr. & staff met me at my level of experience, ignorance, & education regarding the procedure. This journey began with a dreams convo with the hubby & evolved to the results I’ll share in pictures. After hubby’s homework, we choose Dr. Sternberg of Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery. We completed an initial consultation, received quotes for several options we were considering, & made a decision within the next week or so. I’ll credit our decisiveness to Dr. Sternberg’s professionalism, expertise AND my husband’s due diligence with researching doctor’s credentials, years of experience, etc. Reviews were considered as well, but we had to consider that results are based on the individual. Any reviews we found for our doctor was nothing but positive. So, we decided on a mommy makeover-Abdominoplasty with Liposuction and Breast Augmentation/Lift with Liposuction Surgeries. After the consult, I had pre-operative appointment to sign my life away (lol)-mostly medical awareness, precautions, & pre-/post-op instructions.The only significant preparations I made were adjusting my work schedule & sending my toddler to my in-laws. I also purchased post-op meds, stocked on water/Gatorade, & altered diet items (broth, soup, applesauce, jello).I dressed in what I would need to wear home post-surgery-a front-zipped-down mumu, a long-sleeved front-button-down nightgown, oversized jogging pants, fuzzy socks (to keep on during surgery), comfy slippers, a scarf, & beanie (it was freezing the day of and after).My surgery took a total of 6 hours, but I probably wasn’t fully aware that it was over until about 1 hr 15min later. I was so cold & shivering because naturally the temperature is very low in the surgery room. I was also a little disoriented from the anesthesia-I began talking myself through what I slowly began remembering was happening. I was also talking my self out of what I thought was hearing from a nearby patient to be death-talk. Again, it was from the anesthesia-the more I became aware, the less disoriented I was. Because of the complexity of my surgery, I was an overnight stay but successfully discharged the next morning. The entire experience was very personal, seamless, and discreet. 5 weeks, 4 post-op visits later & I’m healing well and cleared to return to normal activities. My abs are still not 100% cleared (this is usually an 8-week healing process, per Dr.). Otherwise, I’m returning to as much normalcy with minimum aches and NO complications. I’d recommend Dr. Sternberg hands-down!"

I actually decided to add this procedure to my original decision to have a labiaplasty. One side of my inner labia has always been slightly larger than the other. This constantly bothers me and I have finally decided to do something about it. I also have a general dislike of my stomach. So I decided while I’m under for the labia plasty I might as well go ahead and have my problem areas taken care of as well. But overall I think it is going well. My friend came over and stayed with me the first night. So I had my husband here and my friend here 24/7 for about two days, Helping me with anything I needed. Lots of swelling, and bruising. But not the worst thing I have been through. I had a weird sensation in my leg and my Dr thought it may be a dvt forming, so I did go to the emergency room, and everything was fine. They believed the sensation in my leg was from the garment I have to wear. I am super swollen, but even with the swelling I can see a difference already. I cannot wait to see the final results. Attached are pics from the day before and then today. Updated on 1 May 2018:Went today for my 1 week post op appointment. Everything is going perfectly and Dr Sternberg said everything looks great. Still have some bruising and swelling as anticipated, but I am feeling better every day. My body shape is looking so perfect. My labiaplasty has come out amazing. "If you read the many great reviews on the PVPS website, you will quickly see a theme echoing the tremendous and unique qualities of the PVPS doctors and staff. But, my wife and I thought that it will be good to share some thoughts from me, the husband…which I am glad to do! From a women’s perspective, the excitement of having this ‘change' sometimes overshadows the skepticism which is generally there with any procedure of this nature; but, for me, it was 'front and center’ because this was more than a cosmetic necessity. My wife's implants were 26 years old, and this alone, created some medical complications in what would normally be a routine procedure. However, she felt she had found the right person in Dr. Sternberg during her initial research on the web, and this was fully confirmed, beyond our expectations, during the consultation. Dr. Sternberg was empathetic about the condition of her old implants, he really listened to her and took the time to understand her fears. "I have been frustrated about a saggy neck but did not want to pursue a surgical procedure. I inquired about Kybella, but did not seem to be a good candidate because my problem was muscle tone and not fat. I met with Dr. Sternberg and decided to pursue ThermiTight since it did not require anesthesia and provided a quick recovery.
When I arrived for the procedure, I have to admit I was very nervous but he and the staff (Lisa) quickly put me at ease. First and foremost, there was no pain or discomfort. I had considered taking a sedative, but it was not warranted at all. I thought my anxiety would overtake me, but ThermiTight was as easy as any injectable I have taken.
My neck was numbed, and I felt only a little pressure in the areas he was treating. About 90 minutes later I was driving home and feeling fantastic. I followed his post-op instructions carefully and had no obvious swelling. No bruising! The three small insertion points were not visible that evening and a week later at my follow-up, he said all was well.

Although, it was quite of a drive, considering what my gfs said about the place (word of mouth is the most powerful marketing agent) and the reviews, I said why not. When I called to schedule for an appointment, Naomi was the one who answered all of my questions, she was very friendly, informative, helpful and bubbly. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her about my consultation, my fears and what I'm looking for. After booking the appointment, I thought to myself "hmmm soo far soo good" :) The day of the consultation, I arrived at the Nocatee office and man, it looked beautiful. The nurse was very friendly and informative and answered all of my questions about the difference between saline and silicone, she got my vitals and even refreshments while I waited for the doctor. Robin then came in and then Dr. Sternberg. Dr. Sternberg was amazing, and have great bedside manner. I told him what I wanted and I think he knew right away what I was looking for. He probably knew before I did. I was lost with the sizes; all I know is that I wanted to end up with a C cup. I wanted large natural looking fake breasts. I don't know if that make sense to everyone but it did with him. He took my measurements and let me try on different sizers (best part). The experience with them was amazing. After my consultation with them, I told my boyfriend that he was going to be the "one" to give me pretty boobies and make me look FABULOUS:) The pre-op was great, I'm a very indecisive patient and I kept changing the size, but Dr. Sternberg was great at telling me it's going to be ok, and I'm going to look great. The 2 week waiting period was the worst. All I can think about is my soon-to-be pretty boobies and Robin was AMAZING!!! I have sent her tons of emails about what I want and what I don't want and what I was afraid of, and how I wanted a different size and how I need the doctor to make me a new simulation. She answered all of my emails, she was very patient with me, she was just AMAZING. All in all, the experience was great. The surgery was great, we were there at the crack of dawn. Carol was actually the nurse during the surgery and she was amazing too. Everything went fast and all I can remember before dozing off was me staring at the computer monitor and trying to figure out what music they were playing and what soundtrack the doctor will be listening to while he creates his masterpiece, and then I woke up to my boyfriend's voice. The post-op went well. I felt some pain but not crazy pain. I healed very well. If I ever want anything else done, I will definitely go back to Dr. Sternberg and send everyone to him. "I was bitten by a large dog. He got the entire right nostril. I went to a plastic surgeon and was told, "you will never look the same, get used to people starring....." I was told the only option I had was to use skin from my face which would cause further deformation. I was heartbroken, I thought I had no other options and my face would be scared for the rest of my life.
When I came to PVPS I really had low expectations and was just defeated. Dr. Sternberg, Robin, all the Ladies working were so wonderful and sympathetic in what I felt was the worst time of my life. "Before you judge me, just know that these are all mine. Growing up I've always had these heavy breasts (38DDD/F). I always had shortness of breath could never exercise how I wanted. I couldn't wear cute tops. Bras were hella expensive. I was really insecure about my boobs. My boy friend said he loved them but it wasn't about him. I decided to make a consultation with Ponte Vedra Plastic surgery. My doctor and his staff were absolutely amazing. His name was Dr. Sternberg. I must say I feel amazing. My back is straightened. My mom says they look nice and perky. Growing up I never knew what it felt like to have small boobs. My breast size is a full C. But after swelling goes down might be a B cup. They look amazing. You'd think I's be in pain well I'm not. My pain level is a 1 because of being swollen. I definitely recommend doing a breast reduction. Best decision ever. My surgery was yesterday and I still feel good. I only took one percocet."
"The Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery group was outstanding. I always felt comfortable when checking in for appointments. The reception staff was so friendly. The check-out staff was also courteous and helpful. Nurse Robin was a total professional. She was thorough and structured, yet she made me feel like she was there with me and that I could call her anytime if I had questions or concerns. I knew that she would be with me in the operating room and that made me feel comfortable. Dr. Sternberg is just the best. His attention to detail was second to none. His examination was done in such a manner that I knew he was covering all the bases. I could tell that he really wanted to make the outcome of the surgery a success. He wasn't in a hurry and his dialogue was such that I could understand what he was saying. He did not talk down to me. Dr. Sternberg is also very honest. The surgery I had involved my breasts; however, I had also wanted to have surgery on my upper arms to reduce and tighten the skin. I had a right breast Maestectomy over ten years ago and as a result I have Lymphodena (some swelling) in my right arm. Dr. Sternberg examined me and he was upfront in advising me that the benefits did not outweigh the risks. He told me that while I would be a good candidate under normal conditions it was his professional opinion that more harm could be caused by this procedure. I know that he would have done this procedure if he thought it would benefit me, but I appreciated his honesty in advising me that he would not do this procedure. When I had questions and concerns relative to my insurance ,Michelle, who deals with insurance companies all day, was most helpful. She returned my calls in a timely manner and she spoke with the insurance company concerning my procedure. I would like to say that all of the nurses at the surgery center were great. I really liked Dr. Aurello my Anesthisiologist. She was so caring and most knowledgeable. The receptionist at the surgery center could not have been more pleasant and patient. Lastly, I would like to say that Jess, who talked with me about the financial aspects of my procedure, was absolutely wonderful. She was patient in answering my questions and I never felt pressured, at any time to make a decision. She was there to help me through the process and she totally succeeded. "Due to the need for multiple breast biopsies in the 1970's, I had non-cancer reconstructive surgery performed in 1980 in Texas. "I am in my early 40's, BRACA positive, and have been living under the dark cloud of my fate since 2003. Every 3 mos I have been alternating the Diagnostic Mammogram, than the Bilateral MRI. I have been fortunate to of had my Breast Cancer caught very early in 2003 and have had 3 lumpectomies since. In May of 2010, 3 of my Doctors strongly suggested I have a Bilateral Mastectomy.
