When I hit menopause, they just started to grow again and my body could no longer handle the weight of them, the back pain and constant headaches.The only expectation I honestly had was that I would have smaller breast afterwards. "After much research I went with PVPS to do a mommy makeover, something I never thought I would ever do. I struggled for years with low self esteem before and after kids and weight gain/loss. After finally losing weight after my kids I looked at my self and was tired of being depressed about my body. So I had the wonderful staff at PVPS put me back to the way I was and let me tell everyone, it was worth every penny just to look and feel comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my entire life. From the very first call I made to their staff down to my most current appointment I have had nothing but wonderful interactions and experiences with every single staff member. You can tell they care. Yes you are paying them but they are honest about everything and want the best for you! They are like cheerleaders for you. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff I have met but Dr. Mitchell did an outstanding job with my mommy makeover, Brittany Cherry is his coordinator and is such a sweetheart ,considerate of you, and very easy to talk to. Kristen Murphy is the nurse for Dr. Mitchell and is just as amazing and helpful. She answered my every question after my surgery with little downtime/wait. Dr. Mitchell took my call when I had an urgent question very near Christmas. They are all so calm and patient. They are truly wonderful people who want to help others. I thank each and every one of them for helping to give me love back to myself. Dr. Mitchell was so detail oriented with my procedure that I went in feeling prepared. If you are thinking about doing anything cosmetic please consider everyone here at PVPS, they never once pressured me and are up front about cost right after the consultation. The consultation fee was $100 but makes you a lifetime patient with them. Thank you PVPS staff/family!"

"I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sternberg. Once we started talking I knew I made the right choice in picking him. He made me feel incredibly comfortable. Especially about things I’m self conscious about. I went into the consult with 3 surgeries in mind. He was honest about what he thought I needed and surgeries I did not need. . He was candid, explained both procedures, recovery time, what results would be. Lisa (his nurse) who I met for pre op and was with me the morning of my procedure was wonderful. Surgery day went smooth well! Everyone on the operating team was kind and answered any questions I had. Ultimately I went with abdominal/hip liposuction over a tummy tuck. I could not be happier and I’m only 4 weeks post op."

"The decision I made to have a breast reduction was obviously a very serious one. It would be unusual if anyone ever said that was a choice that was easy to make. But I’ve been dealing with neck and shoulder pain for a very long time, and I finally made the decision to go forward with it. I cannot express in words how happy I am with Dr. Bates, his surgical team, the nursing team and the staff at Ponte Vedra plastics. Here is a list of why: 1. The decision to have the surgery was not for cosmetic reasons, and they understood that. I felt like every single person genuinely cared for my emotional state of health, my mental state of health and my physical well-being. 2. The results so far have been fantastic. The healing is going very smoothly and quickly. Some people go into the surgery and they offer what they call wish photos, which is what they desire to look like when the surgery is complete. I did not do this. I simply told Dr. Bates please make me look proportionate - that is all I desire. Dr. Bates is the consummate professional and his talent and skill are apparent, because he was able to give me exactly that. 3. Dr.Hancock is incredibly nice and intelligent. She answered all my questions and made me feel so much better about my anxiety and worries. Ive healed so well, and at 5 weeks my scars look amazing. My breast and nipples are symmetrical and overall I am beyond happy. I emailed nurse Lindsay a few times from home and she would always answer within 30 minutes, even late at night. "I didn't want to go too big and hate them but if they came out too small they would still be more than I had. - After nursing two kids and never having much for a chest, I decided to go for it after years of wanting breast implants. I'm 35 yrs old, 5'5 and 130 pounds. This site has helped me so much so I want to share my experience. The 3D imaging and sizers in the office helped to pick the size but ultimately I trusted Dr. Hickman at the moment to give me natural-looking and proportionate implants. Aside from my wishlist, my mindset was that I didn't want to go too big and hate them but if they came out too small they would still be more than I had. "I have done multiple treatments at PVPS and love them. They did my arm liposuction and fat grafting, and I have done a couple hydrofacials. Dr. Snyder did my liposuction and I was very pleased with my results, and I got fat grafting to fill a dent where I had a tumor. This is the only place that doesn’t make me breakout for facials too. They are clinical, so there’s more of a premium than your average spa, but they give results. When I had my surgery, it was like I was getting it in a home which made me comfortable and not worried. I trust PVPS and love Mary who did the facials. She hadn’t seen me in a year and still remembered me. I love going!"

"I have been wanting to have a breast reduction and lift for 25 years but I was too afraid. I had never had surgery before. But I woke up one morning in September 2019 OVER my 34G breasts. Updated on 2 Jun 2020:On the 7th day post op the lymph nodes in my armpits started swelling, and on the 8th day they became incredibly painful. Moving my arms, putting on DO, and shaving were difficult. Things were fine up until that point and I had to start taking ibuprofen for the pain. My left boob and nipple were still really sore, like a burning sensation. I had no fever and my incisions looked fine so I just waited until Monday (10 days post) to talk to my PS about my concerns. She said my left incision was a little irritated and the severity of the lymph nodes in my left armpit were a little concerning, so she put me on an antibiotic just in case there’s any infection. I’ll post a picture of the swollen lymph nodes, I haven’t been able to shave so the armpit looks gross, every red spot is a swollen lymph node. Today I’m 11 days post op and they’re still so high, my PS gave me instructions to start massaging them. I’m super impatient and ready for the drop and fluff to happen. Updated on 3 Jun 2020:I had a follow up appointment today for the possible infection. On Monday Dr. Hickman only put me on the antibiotic as a precaution, today she said everything looks great and she doesn’t think I have an infection. The tapes over my incisions were removed today too. Updated on 11 Jun 2020:Just thought I’d drop a two week post op comparison pic. "When one is considering elective plastic surgery, there are a number of factors to consider. To state that it is challenging to make the selection of a board certified physician and an accredited facility, would be an understatement. The reality of the situation is that it is that it is overwhelming, if one is to do their homework. Having had differing experiences with physicians in differing facilities which were largely positive, I can say that my surgery and follow up with PVPS has been the most positive. My surgery was facial and was performed by Dr. Snyder. I was most pleased with the results being reflective of his analysis, training, patience, and skill. In the initial consultation I learned that he was extremely analytical, had a grasp of anatomy related to my situation, and the experience to recommend what was needed, not what I thought I needed. Additionally his educational background, his hospital privileges, his volunteer work, and his communication style all came into my decision to have surgery.
I think that it is also important to know that PVPS made certain that I was physically prepared for surgery. With a checkup by my doctor, a thorough questionnaire, and follow up questions by the anesthesiologist, I felt ready for surgery. Also to note, the anesthesiologist was with me from surgery beginning to end.
Other factors of consideration are related to staff and facility. Dr. Snyder’s nurse Rosalie is amazing. She has impeccable follow up and follow through skills, is personable, and an effective communicator. Making you feel relaxed and bringing a smile to your face is also her specialty. All front staff and behind the scene staff members are professional, helpful, and responsive. The facility is beautiful, clean, and notably accredited."

For a person who was very uneasy about this type elective procedure Dr. Sternberg and his team was the reason I decided to move forward and I am beyond happy with the results. "Dr. Sternberg performed a breast augmentation for me about 2 months ago. Leading up to surgery, I was nervous and excited, but very anxious about surgery I was electing to do. "If you read the many great reviews on the PVPS website, you will quickly see a theme echoing the tremendous and unique qualities of the PVPS doctors and staff. But, my wife and I thought that it will be good to share some thoughts from me, the husband…which I am glad to do! From a women’s perspective, the excitement of having this ‘change' sometimes overshadows the skepticism which is generally there with any procedure of this nature; but, for me, it was 'front and center’ because this was more than a cosmetic necessity. My wife's implants were 26 years old, and this alone, created some medical complications in what would normally be a routine procedure. However, she felt she had found the right person in Dr. Sternberg during her initial research on the web, and this was fully confirmed, beyond our expectations, during the consultation. Dr. Sternberg was empathetic about the condition of her old implants, he really listened to her and took the time to understand her fears. Unlike many plastic surgeons whom we have heard of from family members, she was not for going ‘big’. He offered options, and true concern for the athletic and natural physique that she sought. She, and I, were both so relieved to be in the care of a surgeon who really listened, and made every effort to fully understand her expectations. This was all finally confirmed as Diane prepared for the procedure, because the staff was a reflection of him! They were calm, un-rushed, and prepared Diane for the total transformation that was to happen over the next couple of hours, as well as the following days and weeks of her healing. Her ‘shape’ went from distorted, hard, disfigured foreign bodies to natural, healthy, beautiful looking breasts. What, perhaps, is most impressive about Dr. Sternberg, and his staff, is that the care and empathy in their follow-up visits has not diminished. "I am writing for two reasons. First, I have known Chris Weber over 10 years. I began seeing her when I was approximately 40 years old. Although she was aware of my desire to take good care of my skin, I would like to first thank her for the level of professionalism, care, and dedication she displayed each and every time I saw her. "Dr. Sternberg, Robin, and the PVPS staff are hands down amazing. I was shopping for a plastic surgeon around the area where I live when 2 of my girlfriends recommended PVPS. Although, it was quite of a drive, considering what my gfs said about the place (word of mouth is the most powerful marketing agent) and the reviews, I said why not. When I called to schedule for an appointment, Naomi was the one who answered all of my questions, she was very friendly, informative, helpful and bubbly. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her about my consultation, my fears and what I'm looking for. After booking the appointment, I thought to myself "hmmm soo far soo good" :) The day of the consultation, I arrived at the Nocatee office and man, it looked beautiful. The nurse was very friendly and informative and answered all of my questions about the difference between saline and silicone, she got my vitals and even refreshments while I waited for the doctor. Robin then came in and then Dr. Sternberg. Dr. Sternberg was amazing, and have great bedside manner. I told him what I wanted and I think he knew right away what I was looking for. He probably knew before I did. I was lost with the sizes; all I know is that I wanted to end up with a C cup. I wanted large natural looking fake breasts. I don't know if that make sense to everyone but it did with him. He took my measurements and let me try on different sizers (best part). The experience with them was amazing. After my consultation with them, I told my boyfriend that he was going to be the "one" to give me pretty boobies and make me look FABULOUS:) The pre-op was great, I'm a very indecisive patient and I kept changing the size, but Dr. Sternberg was great at telling me it's going to be ok, and I'm going to look great. The 2 week waiting period was the worst. All I can think about is my soon-to-be pretty boobies and Robin was AMAZING!!! I have sent her tons of emails about what I want and what I don't want and what I was afraid of, and how I wanted a different size and how I need the doctor to make me a new simulation. She answered all of my emails, she was very patient with me, she was just AMAZING. All in all, the experience was great. The surgery was great, we were there at the crack of dawn. Carol was actually the nurse during the surgery and she was amazing too. Everything went fast and all I can remember before dozing off was me staring at the computer monitor and trying to figure out what music they were playing and what soundtrack the doctor will be listening to while he creates his masterpiece, and then I woke up to my boyfriend's voice. The post-op went well. I felt some pain but not crazy pain. I healed very well. If I ever want anything else done, I will definitely go back to Dr. Sternberg and send everyone to him. My mom started talking about her eyelids and how she wants to get them done. Definitely taking her to see Dr. Sternberg :)"

"I have had the extreme pleasure of working with Nancy Woody as Patient Care Coordinator to Dr. Snyder during the 10+ years. I find her to be very knowledgeable about all of his procedures and is very helpful in explaining the charges relative to the various services especially with respect to the hours involved and their respective charges. She is also always very punctual on returning my phone calls and leaving messages if she has missed me.
It seems to me that she has to work very hard to be accommodating to one's requests given the extremely busy schedule that she is dealing with relative to Dr. Snyder. He is so busy not only on days that he is operating but on his clinical days as well, whether it is seeing patients for follow-up surgery or patients requesting non-surgical procedures. Even on those rare times that I was not able to meet with Dr. Snyder due to his busy schedule she was very apologetic and told me that she would let me know as soon as possible if there were any cancellations.
Since I want to see Dr. Snyder for all of my non-surgical procedures every 3 months, it was Nancy who suggested that I look at my schedule and book the entire year out on a 3 month basis to be able to get in to see Dr. Snyder. This system has worked very well for me over the last several years and I have already done so not only for 2016 but 2017 as well.
Nancy makes me feel like I am one of the family and that she is always glad to see me. It makes going to PVPS seem like a special treat! I very much enjoy and respect working with Nancy and have to say that she is someone who I would imagine is a very special addition and part of PVPS."

"I was bitten by a large dog. He got the entire right nostril. I went to a plastic surgeon and was told, "you will never look the same, get used to people starring....." I was told the only option I had was to use skin from my face which would cause further deformation. I was heartbroken, I thought I had no other options and my face would be scared for the rest of my life.
When I came to PVPS I really had low expectations and was just defeated. Dr. Sternberg, Robin, all the Ladies working were so wonderful and sympathetic in what I felt was the worst time of my life. I was writing you in reference to your post awhile ago about shopping PVPS before you started there. I wanted to let you know about my experience and the positiveness I have seen.
I became a patient of Dr. Hickman's as her practice was merging with PVPS. I have seen the difference full circle. The front desk staff doesn't have to worry about the phones while helping a patient, I like the convenience of confirming my appointment via text. I recently had my 5th (and hopefully last) surgery 4 weeks ago. I joked with the nurses and said is it bad I recognize you have new gowns back here? We got a laugh out of that. The surgical nurses always make you feel at ease when you go in and that makes it very comforting.
You have a phenomenal staff both at Baymeadows & Ponte Vedra. I have seen 3 other dr's for an emergency when Dr. Hickman was not available and you would of never known I wasn't their patient. As a patient that is very comforting. God was looking out for me when I was referred to Dr. Hickman after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Through all my tears her bedside manner is impeccable, I am beyond blessed to have her as my dr.

Naomi cheerfully answered the phone welcoming me to the PVPS. I explained to her I was interested in receiving a facial and possibly some time to discuss the colorscience makeup line so I didn't have to make two appointments. She was very accommodating and offered me an appointment the next day which I booked. She directed me to the website where I could find the new patient forms needed for my visit as well. She was a pleasure to speak with.
Check In Experience:
I was the 'bad' patient and forgot my completed paperwork at my office and showed up at exactly my appointment time (5:00pm) instead of a little more to complete the paperwork I had forgotten. When I checked in I told the front desk (I forgot her name) and she handed me the portfolio to complete the paperwork there. She never once got flustered because I was 'that' patient.
Aesthetician Experience:
When Andrea called me back she welcomed me again and thanked me for being there. We walked back to the room and we chatted a little along with way. We stopped in the hallway where I saw the array of makeup. I am a little obsessed with makeup which I told Andrea. She did a quick examine of what she thought my skin needed in the hallway due to the natural sunlight coming through the door. She mentioned a series of chemical peels and a moisturizer, which I had never had before and I told her this. I think she could sense the fear I had because I have seen some horrible chemical peels so I was a little reluctant. She explained in great detail the process and why those people I referenced looked the way they did. It made sense once she explained it so I proceeded with the peel. After she obtained an informed consent, which she gave ample time to read through she started the peel. She explained every step and what to expect which I greatly appreciated and that made me feel even more comfortable with my decision to have the procedure. When the peel was complete we went back to the hallway to discuss which makeup was best suited for my skin. She applied the testers and did the color match that I had requested. I was very interested in the Primer but after applying the testers and discussing the options, it was determined I didn't really need the Primer. I appreciated her honesty with that and appreciate that she did not try to sell me something I didn't need. I am beyond satisfied with not only my experience but my peel and makeup as well. I go back in 4 weeks for my 2nd one of the series. I will definitely continue with Andrea not only because of her personality but because of her in depth knowledge of the products.

I had two different sized breasts and had experienced an extreme weight gain and weight loss since that time due to quitting smoking. That, and not being a "spring chicken" any longer, and my breasts looked pretty un-pretty. I visited with Dr. Brett Snyder in St. Augustine, at a satellite facility used only for meeting new patients.
My consultation was 5-star. I knew immediately I had found a top shelf surgeon who has impeccable bedside manners and world class training, with the ability to do the surgery needed to 1) make my breasts equal in size by reducing the unaffected side with the side that had been biopsied and irradiated, 2) perform the surgery in such a way as to minimalize scarring, and 3) provide further reduction to both breasts to eliminate any other anomalies with regard to shape and lift. I had just moved from Los Angeles and it was not possible to use my California insurance, so unfortunately I was not able to utilize their services. I went on with my plan and had another local surgeon do the surgery. Although I have a great deal of scarring from the surgeon that I eventually chose, I am very happy to be of equal size and to be "reconstructed" after many "lopsided" years.
Almost immediately after the surgery I developed a great deal of scar tissue on the irradiated breast, and for nearly two years have been uncomfortable with this mass when I wear tight workout gear, so I began thinking about Dr. Snyder again. "31 Year Old Mother of Two Finally Gets Her Tummy Tuck - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL - Wonderful wonderful people and place - - After giving birth to my "irish" twins I was left with a very bad over hanging belly. I decided to hire a personal trainer, and with him I lost 70 pounds. You would think that made me feel better. NOPE! The hanging skin looked evern worse. I chose Dr. Rumsey because I really liked his pictures online and then when I met him in person, I knew he was the doctor for me!!!! - - I had a "mommy make-over" with Dr. Rumsey at PVPS in March 2012. "I am in my early 40's, BRACA positive, and have been living under the dark cloud of my fate since 2003. Every 3 mos I have been alternating the Diagnostic Mammogram, than the Bilateral MRI. I have been fortunate to of had my Breast Cancer caught very early in 2003 and have had 3 lumpectomies since. In May of 2010, 3 of my Doctors strongly suggested I have a Bilateral Mastectomy. I have had an ongoing issue in my right breast for the past 11 mos. and my emotions along with my Doctors care and concerns were nearing the end. I contacted Dr. Snyder's answering service over a weekend; he called back right away and assured me that what I was feeling was normal and that I really WAS okay. Another time, I panicked and convinced myself I was retaining fluid around the tissue expanders; Dr. Snyder's staff went out of their way to get me into the office immediately to be checked. Of course, there was nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with me and although I was really embarassed for making such a big deal out of nothing, Dr. Snyder assured me that he'd "rather be safe than sorry" and everyone was very understanding. In my experience, the tissue expansion was the most physically difficult part of my breast cancer experience. However, I didn't go through it alone - Dr. Snyder and his staff were with me every week, empathetic to the discomfort I was experiencing while continually encouraging me toward the end-goal that would help me to STOP feeling like a cancer patient, raise my self-image and begin to see myself as a whole woman again. We were told that my "support team" would be vital to my recovery - I was truly one of the "lucky ones" when Dr. Snyder and staff became part of that support team."
